Publications

Social Sculpture Research Unit staff and research associates explore their questions and insights in the field of social sculpture in several different ways: in dialogues and exchanges, in project and processes, in lectures and in more traditional text-based publications. Here we highlight publications that can be obtained through bookshops and other distributors, or online.

ATLAS of the Poetic Continent: Pathways to Ecological Citizenship, Temple Lodge 2013. Co-authored by Shelley Sacks and Wolfgang Zumdick.

This completely revised English edition, with new key texts by Sacks and Zumdick, focuses on the notion of the poetic continent and its relationship to ecological citizenship.

The ATLAS is a work-book as much as a book to read. Each of the 28 ‘lands’ contains a page written by the authors, an image, a page of quotes and a blank page for the reader. The original German version (ATLAS – Ort des Treffens 2009, Verlag Mayer) was ‘A Philosophical Tour Guide’ linked to the project Ort des Treffens [original project website]
